Tusked-est birdpoo ever

Readers may recall my familiarity with the field of birdpoo palaentology, wherein I've previously demonstrated prehistoric occupation of this area by plesiosaurs and tyrannasaurs.

And now, after investigations in Lawrence Road, I can positively confirm prior habitation by mastodons.
Snort. Snuffle. Hrrmph.
Note the raised trunk, showing that this was a browsing animal - in contrast to a mammoth, which of course was a grazer instead.

Still looks like bird shit to me!

Perhaps. But in the eyes of an expert, skilled at applying the science of birdpoo palaentology, the evidence is clear. It's a marmoset.

Or a mastodon.

I should have paid more attention to the ground when I was hobnailing it around the streets.
